Ex-Sennheiser engineer Axel Grell rolls out affordable audiophile earbuds

Grell TWS-1 earbuds: audiophile-worthy?
The company said Grell individually designed each earbud and sourced part to achieve audiophile-worthy sound quality. The earbuds include custom 10mm drivers, ANC assistance and responsive glass touch panels. And they also feature a proprietary “Noise Annoyance Reduction” (NAR) feature that cancels out high-pitched sounds.
Grell described the drivers as “high accuracy.” The business said they have fast action and needs to deliver a broad frequency variety– as low as 6Hz and as high as 22kHz.

The earbuds can connect to your audio device through SBC, AAC, LHDC (high resolution, low latency), aptX, aptX HD and aptX adaptive codecs.

The earbuds include Qualcomms “Snapdragon” QCC5141 chipset, which permits for significant codec assistance. Not included are a few of Sonys exclusive formats and Qualcomms brand-new aptX Lossless audio codec.

The Grell TWS-1 earbuds will can be found in a space gray color and cost $199.99 when they go on sale next month, the company stated. That variation will sell specifically through the Grell Audio site to assist reduce costs.
And a variation of the earbuds called tws.01 will sell on Drop.com, including an all-black finish and an extra set of blue eartips.
