Clever bike reflector conceals a hidden AirTag tracker [Review]

The Device Therapy Bike Mount & & Reflector connects with a standard zip tie that cant be easily eliminated once its closed. In my screening, I found it a strong connection. The only method to get rid of the item is to cut the zip tie. But the concept here is that a burglar isnt going to do that since theyll believe its a simple reflector. It sure appears like a reflector.
Simply so theres no confusion, this accessory does not included an AirTag. Thats sold individually ($ 29).

In that case, the AirTag had actually been gotten rid of and discarded. The bike was found nearby. With the Device Therapy Bike Mount & & Reflector, the AirTag is in fact connected to the bike.

This device is mostly a round holder for the AirTag made from plant-sourced bioplastic. It opens with a screw cap, and the tracker fits comfortably within. The case seals firmly to keep out the weather condition, however this does not much matter because the AirTag itself is water, dust and splash resistant (IP67).

Gadget Therapy Bike Mount & & Reflector efficiency
The reason youre hiding an AirTag on your bike is that the tracker can be discovered by nearly any iPhone by means of a Bluetooth connection. And that iPhone will then instantly (and anonymously) alert you where your lost/stolen product is. If your bike gets improved, you can find it later on.
But there are a number of caveats here. Apples tracking system depends upon iPhones getting relatively near to the AirTag. And the Bike Mount & & Reflector itself a little minimizes the distance since the wireless connection has to go through the bioplastic housing. In my screening, I could make contact in between AirTag and iPhone at about 75 feet in Device Therapys bike reflector. Thats down from the typical 100 feet or more. Walls decrease the connection range even more.
If the burglar has an iPhone themself, theyll ultimately be alerted that theres an AirTag following them. Apple developed the system to find lost items, not taken ones.

Most notably, if you get informed of the area of your stolen bike, do not go attempt to collect it yourself. Speak with the cops. Take the experience of the person in Boston discussed previously as a guide.
Device Therapy Bike Mount & & Reflector final thoughts
This is an easy product, however it does precisely what its meant to do. You can quickly connect an AirTag to your bike and have a firm hope that a burglar wont discover the tracker exists.

The Device Treatment Bike Mount & & Reflector gives you a place to conceal an Apple AirTag tracker. With this combination, you can (hopefully) track the location of your bike if it gets taken due to the fact that millions of iPhones around the globe can report the place of your lost product.

Gadget Therapy Bike Mount & & Reflector evaluation
Conceal an AirTag on your bike and you may have a much better chance at getting it back if its stolen. Apples item tracker hasnt been around long, however theres already a minimum of one report of it being used to return a taken bike to its owner. A bike taken July 4 in Boston was apparently recuperated by cops.

Hide an AirTag on your bike and you might have a better shot at getting it back if its stolen. The bike was found close by. If your bike gets enhanced, you can discover it later on.
In my testing, I could make contact between AirTag and iPhone at about 75 feet in Device Therapys bike reflector. Most notably, if you get notified of the location of your taken bike, dont go attempt to gather it yourself.

Device Therapy puts 3M Diamond-Grade reflective material– the same stuff used for roadway indications– on one side. It doesnt just appear like a reflector. It is a reflector.
You have your choice of white or red reflective product on a black or white case to match your bike.
